Arya Shahbazy, better known as Lit Reeezy is from Baltimore, Maryland, and was born on May 11, 2004. Now Reeezy resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, being his home since 2010.
Lit Reeezy comes from a long line of music history being the great-nephew to Afsar Shahidi a legendary Persian singer and his father Iman Shahbazy a composer and professional musician. Lit Reeezy is a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan and looks forward to working with the team. Lit Reeezy is a triple threat. His stardom started at the age of 10 being in the top 40 in basketball. Lit Reeezy also began singing and performing at the age of 3 at Persian events and family gatherings.
Reeezy is motivation for the youth, by being an example that you can make it through anything. Growing up Reeezy had many near-death experiences which now feeds his purpose here as an artist.
Lit Reeezy dropped his first single "Damaged" on May 29,2021, and then debuted his first full-length album “Vulnerable” on December 04, 2021, which exemplifies who he is as an artist, singer, and songwriter and displays his versatility of genres. Reeezy's favorite song on the album is “Suicide”. This song is very personal to Reeezy as he is a strong advocate for mental health. This song goes in-depth about a suicidal person battling depression. Reeezy has battled depression and anxiety himself throughout his young life, and his mother (Darya Shahbazy) is a Psychologist, so it is very important for him to bring awareness to the mental health arena so that others can seek the proper treatment.
Reeezy is currently an independent artist but has drawn lots of attention from major record labels, such as Atlantic, Capitol, and Sony. He is currently weighing all of his options.
Achievements: Reeezy recently received a major co-sign from singer, songwriter, and legend Andy. He was brought out as a guest for the sold-out Rod Wave concert on December 16, 2021, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Then 10 days later on December 26, 2021, Lit Reeezy sang with Andy at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following his debuted "Vulnerable" album, Reeezy dropped 4 singles; "NFT", "Run Em Down", "Amnesia, Ft. Lazr", and "Cold War". Lit Reeezy released his second EP album on July 11, 2022, "New Man" which consists of 3 songs; "New Man", "Stuck In My Ways", and "Hard To Carry On". Lit Reeezy dropped his new single "For Them We Stand", Ft. Andy, on October 22, 2022. Being an American of Iranian decent, Reeezy dedicated this song to all of the women in Iran facing oppression as well as any other people facing oppression and fighting for their basic human rights. Lit Reeezy dropped his single "Sorry Not Sorry" on March 1, 2023 and on May 1, 2023 his third EP album "TOO LIT" which consists of 4 songs; "TOO LIT", "SHOTS FIRED", "DREAMIN", and ROCKSTAR". Reeezy has already reached over 39,000,000 streams on various platforms, such as Spotify, Soundcloud, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.
Future Plans: Reeezy is currently collaborating with major artists and producers and is working on new music set to be released soon. Long term, Reeezy plans to create his own record label to provide opportunities to other locally-driven artists. Reeezy also wants to be an advocate for mental health and create his own non-profit organization teaching the youth about mental health awareness.
